Wow great project!!. FYI for the 2nd oval you don’t need a exacto knife. you can use the centerpoint function on the expression and cut a bigger oval, about 1/4″ increase, and cut the oval around that. I think George has a function called silhouette that will cut the outline of a shape.
Oh man wouldn’t a gypsy work well for this!! It is really nice that you try various ways to do something and then tell us what way is actually best.
